To celebrate our 40 years ofmarriage my wife and I decided to spend a month in the north west USA, June-July, visiting our nephew Dennis andfamily in Tacoma en route.  On 6 June, we flew BritishAirways (BA) from Edinburgh to Seattle via Heathrow, and this decision caused usthe only major problems in our four weeks away from home.  Judging by thehostile messages on the internet about BA, you've probably guessed that theylost my wife's baggage.  A great start but our decision to start at Seattle was worthwhile because Dennis met us at SeattleAirport and we decided to spend our first day in Seattle buying relpacement clothes and toiletriesto enable our onward travels.  BA were no help at all, no telephonehelpline no baggage handling numbers.  The only help facility provided wasan online BA missing baggage procedure that never updated from the moment wearrived until weeks after we returned.
