Yvonne Dacey - Wallyvonne's Greyt Nomad Adventure
31 Dec 2008

We hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and that you have a very happy 2009.  We will be joining some friends we met in Exmouth, Karon and Andrew, for NYE so that should be a good night, as they know how to enjoy themselves.  On Christmas Day we were in Denham (near Monkey Mia) and had a lovely Chrissy lunch with our neighbours Pam, John and Darcy (their 3-legged dog) who we have been with for the last 6 weeks or so at various places on the mid coast of WA.  We missed our family and friends for Christmas, so it was great to share the day with our new friends.  Wally and John certainly enjoyed themselves, if you know what I mean.  Since the last blog we have been to Carnarvon, Denham and are now at Kalbarri.  Kalbarri is a pretty little spot, full of holiday-makers being school holidays.  Ive included heaps of photos this time, as I couldnt decide what to leave out.  WA is such a beautiful place I thought Id show you some of the coast line, particularly the western most point on the mainland (I can now tick it off my bucket list). I left a rock on the edge of the cliff with my initials on it.  I may look a bit wet in some of the pix as I fell out of the boat as we were getting off (if anyone was going to fall, it would have to be bumble-footed me). I fell onto Wally who was holding our backpack and the camera.  Luckily only Wally was damaged (well, wet like me, anyway).  There are heaps of animal photos, emus, dolphins, sharks, dugong turtle and a goanna. Hope you enjoy them. We will be flying home to Melbourne on 1 January to see our lovely friend, Rikki, who is not feeling too well at the moment.

Happy New Year, Yvonne & Wally
